It is said, in the future people will fight over essential natural resources like oil and clean water. Plausible. But what seems infinitely more shocking to me is the lack of funk in modern electronic music. I don’t want to sound too alarmist but we’re now 50% of the way into 2019 and the clear absence of funk is pretty noticeable, no? What’s even more chillingly obvious is how few people are talking about this new grim reality. Look around folks, it’s like people just don’t want to face the sad truth that funk is missing, perhaps even being systematically disappeared from current electronic music around us. Woke up yourself, drones! Don’t you realise there must be some sort of secret elite underground cult (likely “the patriarchy”) working secretly in the highest secret hidden echelons of society that has a biological opposition to funk and is working discreetly with secret government officials to secretly eradicate funk from bangers, shellers, heaters, shredders, and (obviously) belters?! But rest assured dear reader, we at clipp.art believe everyone has a basic fundamental human right to a funky beat and will do everything we can to resist the prospect of a future Funkless Earth™. This week we take the fight to the dancefloor (metaphorically speaking) with a funky roller from Plastic GRN. Let this one crawl into your cerebral cortex and you will know immediately “Ohh Perck” is literally lousy with funk. Not halloween dress up funk, but shoulder jacking, raw rubbed, head nodding FUNK. The kind of funk that works with warm synth pads, subliminal bird calls & acid laser blips that echo around your mind and move your body. Play it loud and join us in the fight against Funk Inequality®. The resistance starts here, comrades!

Keep calm, u damn 1-800 GIRLS! What an incredible EP. Just to say why I think this album will consecrate this artist: all tracks are not just beautiful, but original. Even a track like "Suncream", very ROSSFROMFRIENDS' style, has his unique sound. What a surprise, tho. See u soon, mate. FLUCTUS
