UrbanMowgli and Moodrich are a couple of German based lads that love belting out tha tunes. They mix it up here for an EP consisting of a couple collaborative efforts, paired with two solo originals - which both complement each other and also gives definition to their easily interchangeable electro aesthetics.

Opener “E-Motions” might fall into what you would traditionally recognise as an immediate classic lo-fi house flavour: resonate electric keys, clanging house beats, playful lead, a soulfully unrecognizable vocal hook. Or as we like to call it “melodic nostalgia”. It’s all there and sets the mood (sic) like a butt print on your couch - familiar and welcoming. UrbnMowgli goes solo on “Cocco My Love” and glides between breakbeat and house patterns with splashes of soul flirting in the corner with some sweet italo lead arpeggiation. It’s that gelato flavour you always order cause you can’t simply stop licking. Go ahead, you do you, man. There’s no conspiracy that Moodrich’s follow up “Deep State” goes.. erm.. Deep? But it still brings enough in the way of motorik riddims, euphoric backing vocals and a healthy dose of acid bassline to likely get at least 2 out of 5 RA podcast hosts lens cleaning & chin-stroking in semi-approval. EP closer “Astral Journeys” reunites these Berlin buddies on a dreamy chugger that feels too fast, yet slows the feels right down. This is music for dancing around your kitchen with a glass of wine, while you have a pasta bake in the oven, under the glow of those christmas lights you decided to put up 5 months before the actual holiday season. Pour yourself another cup of E-Motions. You deserve it.
