‘Link Common’ is the secret alias of a producer from Wales in the United Kingdom who runs his own label & has quite a healthy following with a gang of smart detroit-y & idm vibe electro tunes released under his main artist pseudonym. Opting for a change of gears via the title Link Common he wanders into ether realms of fat breaks and swirling ambience, and it's a decision that does not disappoint. Titular track “Cloud Words” from this Link Common double header channels some mid-90s Good Looking rec flavour with its undulating pads and angular beats, and the breakdown is mesmerizing. On the flip, “Loop Call” (originally titled “Jam Toast”) is quite simply a thumper amongst thumpers. Alias or no, we’re pumped to have these tracks sit strongly at the tail end of 2019, firm in the canon of clipp.art belters.
