We’re usually pretty overwhelmed by music submissions to our INBOX - some are great and some suck and to be honest we’re often just too snowed under to get around most of them. To you we say: “Patience, pilgrims. The judgemental eye will one day be cast over you ALL eventually.” That said, we’re pretty glad we heard the music you are hearing now, because it’s some high quality electronic tuneage and really goes down well with your quaratini’s and bed hair. And maybe might help block out the ubiquitous diplo live streams and general anxiety in the air. What more can we say about “420”? Well, we wanted to release this on the 20th of April, but that would've been a bit obvious, no? So we waited til the smoke cleared and we could introduce these squirrely demons safely into your isolation dens. Let the nuggets of sweet audio creep inside your warm un-made beds. Peek under your foggy binge watching eyelids. Who made these sounds? RØKR did. He’s an artist from Brazil, who released an album in 2017 of completely spacey psych electronic shoegaze tracks, complete with track titles like “You Made Me Legalize”. We didn’t know that last bit until much later, but it makes total sense in retrospect. I was going to write more here, but just got a message from a friend saying “I've just lost two hours to my neighbor whose dog ate marijuana and had to go to the dog hospital. She’s 87”. In the spirit of 420, I got nothing that could top that.
